Parents Educational/Support Group

EDUCATIONAL GROUP FOR PARENTS OF LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND GENDER NON-CONFORMING YOUTH This group is intended to provide educational support for parents of children whom identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and gender non-conforming/binary. The topics will include but are not limited to: “LGBT 101”, the coming out process, community resources specific to the needs of LGBT-identified youth, and the specific needs of gender non-conforming youth. Additionally, participants and facilitators will have the opportunity to explore effective and nurturing methods to communicate and support their children. This is a free group.
